Buggy is without a doubt one of the luckiest characters in One Piece. He was previously a no-name pirate who was defeated by Luffy at the start of the series.
However, he gets lucky repeatedly, to the point that he becomes a Shichibukai member in One Piece.
As if that wasn’t enough, he quickly became a Yonko!
He possesses the chop-chop fruit skill, which enables him to cut his body and move every portion as he pleases. It is without a doubt one of the most unusual devil fruit talents in the series.

10/11 – Gecko Moria, the Weakest Warlord
It’s a bit unfair to term him “weakest” since he actually gave Luffy a good hammering. I know. However, Doflamingo expressly said that he was the weakest warlord and that he was no longer required.
Moria is a wicked doctor who has transformed himself into a tough monster. This explains his odd appearance, with patches of sutures here and there.
He can also make zombies and manipulate shadows to attack with them.

9/11 – Edward Weevil, the Son of Whitebeard
Edward Weevil claims to be the son of the renowned pirate Whitebeard.
He has proven himself worthy of a place among the top Shichibukai by fighting and outmatching his father’s gang with pure power.
He emerged out of nowhere after Whitebeard’s death, claiming to be his son.
He boasts life-threatening power and is easily one of One Piece’s strongest characters.
However, following the demise of the warlord system, he became just another well-known pirate. Even without devil fruit, his skills are raw physical warfare and great chaotic combat power.
8/11 – Crocodile, the Desert King
Crocodile, also known as Mr. 0, was a Shichibukai and part of the Baroque Works in the past. He was one of the most powerful, proving to be a tough foe for both Luffy and Ace.
He’s easily one of the most powerful Shichibukai, thanks to his Devil Fruit ability to manipulate sand and his unique weaponry.
In the manga, he has joined another pirate organization with Hawkeye Mihawk and Buggy.
7/11 – Bartholomew Kuma, the Tyrant
Bartholomew Kuma is a giant human robot that looks like a bear. He used to be a Shichibukai.
He has a lot of physical strength and speed, making him one of the most powerful figures in the One Piece world.
His favorite weapon is his huge paws, and he can also control energy to use as projectiles, which makes him even more dangerous.
Before he was turned into a mindless robot, he was one of the strongest members of the Shichibukai.
6/11 – Boa Hancock, the Snake Princess of Amazon Lily
Boa Hancock is one of the strongest female characters in One Piece and the Snake Princess of Amazon Lily. She is also a well-respected Shichibukai.
Her control over Mero mero no Mi, commonly known as the Love-Love Fruit, gives her strength. Hancock can enchant practically any opponent with a single glance thanks to the potent Devil Fruit, rendering them helpless and frail in her presence.
She fights for both justice and retribution using her abilities. Hancock is firmly planted in seventh position on this list of the most formidable One Piece shichibukai, standing tall alongside other strong characters like Doflamingo and Mihawk.
5/11 – Trafalgar Law, the Surgeon of Death
The leader of the Heart Pirates and one of the seven Shichibukai is Trafalgar Law.
He had belonged to the Donquixote Pirates, but he was able to desert.
Law is not just extremely intelligent but also extraordinarily strong due to his use of devil fruit powers.
He frequently employs his Op-Op Fruit as an offensive tool because it gives him a distinct tactical advantage in battle.
Despite not having the same amount of power as the Emperor, his skills nonetheless make him one of One Piece’s most dangerous characters.
4/11 – Donquixote Doflamingo, The Nonchalant Strategist
In our list of the strongest One Piece Shichibukai, Doflamingo comes in first.
This crafty tactician was once a Warlord by the name of Joker, but he changed his name to create an alliance with the World Government.
He is an excellent manipulator who can trick even his closest allies by lying and disguising himself.
His proficiency with Haki and use of the Devil Fruit power, which enables him to change into thread-like strings with varying degrees of toughness or destructive power, both add to his skill set.
It is understandable that Doflamingo is regarded as one of the best Shichibukai given his powerful weaponry.
3/11 – Jinbei, the First Son of the Sea
One of the former seven warlords, Jinbei was also the most powerful. He joined the Strawhat pirate group, though, after being imprisoned in Impel Down.
He is a fishman who practices and knows an unbelievable amount about fishman karate.
One of the rare Shichibukai without a demon fruit power was Jinbei. However strong he was, the government wanted him on their team.

The vampire “Hawk-Eye” One of the One Piece series’ most potent characters is Mihawk.

Later, during the time skip, he developed into Roronoa Zoro’s most valuable mentor.
Many people appreciate him for his abilities, including Shanks and Whitebeard himself, and despite the passage of time, his influence has not waned.

The “strongest man in the world” is Marshall D. Teach, better known by his alias Blackbeard, a guy who attained this status by his extraordinary strength and dominance.

He could control two Devil Fruits simultaneously after murdering Whitebeard, one of which allowed him to wipe anything he touched and the other of which allowed him to cause space quakes.
In the end, Blackbeard maintains his position as one of One Piece’s most dreaded antagonists due to both his menacing presence and immense power.

In this section, I will be answering some of the most frequently asked questions about the warlords in One Piece.
Note that some of the below information might be a spoiler for you if you haven’t caught up with the anime or manga.
Would Luffy be a Shichibukai?
No, Luffy will never be a Shichibukai. The Warlord system was removed from the World Government as they are a troublesome bunch.

What replaced Shichibukai?
The Shichibukai were replaced by Vegapunk’s Special Science Group (SSG). Instead of having pirates doing the work for the Government, now robots and cyborgs do the work.
The SSG is arguably far stronger than the seven warlords, as they have created Pacifistas and Seraphim that physically replace the warlords.
Who is the weakest Shichibukai?
Buggy the clown was probably the weakest Shichibukai of all time. He got the position by sheer luck. He never had the power or intellect to become one of the seven warlords of the sea.
That said, before Buggy, Gecko Moria was considered to be the weakest Warlord to exist.
