This article, ‘5 incredible devil fruit that you’ve probably never heard of’ is written by Oliva. More about the author at the end of this post!
The world of One Piece created by Eiichiro Oda is a mysterious and fascinating place. One that has managed to capture the hearts and minds of it’s readers and watchers for over twenty years. Something that is best embodied in it’s Devil Fruit power system.
Sadly a few characters were left in the dark and never got the chance to truly show off their incredible powers. So I have compiled this list to give them a chance at the spot-light.
5.) Jewelry Bonney’s Unnamed Devil Fruit
Starting off this list will be a Devil Fruit that is currently unnamed, used by the mysterious Jewelry Bonney. Her power allows her to not only manipulate the aging process, but what that exactly entails is still shrouded in mystery. As one of the Supernova’s however there is still hope that her abilities will be elaborated upon.
4.) The Ori Ori no Mi/ Bind Bind Fruit
The Ori Ori no Mi is a Devil Fruit that allows its user to bind those they touch in shackles. Used by Rear-Admiral Hina, it has only been seen in use on screen twice. Once to great effect on an unnamed pirate and again being used on her own men during the Marineford Saga. We can only hope that we get to see it in use again.
3.) The Fuku Fuku no Mi/Garb Garb Fruit
The Fuku Fuku no Mi is the Paramecia-type devil fruit eaten by the Samurai Kin’emon. It makes this list due to it being originally unnamed and a rather persistent misconception of Kin’emon practicing Ninjutsu. Perhaps someday our favorite samurai will learn the source of his abilities.
2.) The Sara Sara no Mi: Model Axolotl/Sala Sala Fruit: Model Axolotl
Yet another on our list due to our misconception, this Devil Fruit is the fruit ‘eaten’ by the chemical weapon Smiley. It has no real special properties except that it lets the poor creature live. Unlike most of our previous entries there’s very little chance of seeing it in use again.
1.) The Tori Tori no Mi: Model Albatross
This is the Devil Fruit eaten by our favorite bird-journalist “Big News” Morgans, who is not in fact an inhabitant of the land of Zou. Of note it must be said that beyond advertising, his powers lend him no real benefit. With him being utterly incapable of the most basic of Zoan-type abilities.
In conclusion, these are the 5 hidden devil fruits we’ve probably missed.
