Miyuki Shirogane
Miyuki Shirogane is the main male character in the Love is War series. He is a studious guy who came from a poor family.
Shirogane is also the current student council president. He is also secretly in love with Kaguya.
However, he does not want to confess first as he considers that a loss. So he plans several schemes to make Kaguya confess her feelings first.

Chika Fujiwara
Chika Fujiwara is a cheerful and playful girl who brings life to the series in more than one way.
She is a genius pianist who lives without a care in the world.

Yu Ishigami
Yu Ishigami is a first year student who is the accountant of the student council. He is the second son of a famous toy company.
He is a good guy at heart, but can easily get gloomy and become a self pitying character.
Behind the scenes, Ishigami always helps out Iino even though he claims to hate her.
Ishigami is also an otaku who likes anime, manga and video games. He is in love with a third year girl named Tsubame Koyasu.
Iino Miko
Iino Miko is another first year who is a part of the student council. She is very studious, yet very gullible.
She has difficulties when talking to a huge group, but is constantly striving to overcome this weakness.
Iino is a pure hearted girl which is why she easily falls prey for guys who are looking to have fun with girls. This is where Ishigami draws a line for her and helps her out.

Ai Hayasaka
Ai Hayasaka is the incredible maid character from Love is War. She works as a maid for Kaguya but keeps her identity a secret at school.
She can easily switch personalities which is a required skill in her line of work. But because of this, her personality can be a little twisted at times.
However, behind all her fake faces, there is her true and fragile self that she rarely shows to anybody.
Kei Shirogane
Kei chan is Miyuki Shirogane’s little sister. As a sibling she has a love-hate relationship with her brother.
While she secretly like him, she always scrutinizes Miyuki for his poor sense of choice in varities of things.
Like Miyuki, she is also looked up to in her class.
Tsubame Koyasu
Tsubame Koyasu is a third student in Kaguya sama love is war. She is also the vice captain of the cheer leading club.
She is very nice and kind to everybody. This why almost every guy in the club has a crush on her.
When Ishigami joined the club, she was very kind to him as well which made him fall for her.
Maki Shijo
Maki Shijo is a tsundere character in Love Is War. She is also a distant relative of Kaguya.
Her personality easily switches between extremes which is why Miyuki and Ishigami support her.
Maki had a love interest but she could not bring herself to confess to him. In that time, Maki’s friend confessed to him and they became a couple.
Because of this Maki is always found be depressed whenever she is reminded of her failure in romance.
Momo Ryuju
Momo is a supporting character in Love is war who had a very little screen time in the anime.
She is the president of the astronomy club. Her attitude is somewhat defiant and condesceding, but she is a good person at heart.
Momo has helped Shirogane several times in his mission to make Kaguya fall for him.
Who Are The Side Characters In Love Is War?
Karen Kino
Karen is one of the minor characters In love is war. She is the president of the mass media club and is responsible for gathering interesting scoops to publish in the school’s newspaper.
She is also obssessed with Kaguya and idolizes her.
Several times in the anime, she was shown to ship Kaguya and Shirogane together.
Erika Kose
Erika is the vice president of the mass media club. She often hangs out with Karen in order to interview people and gather scoops for the paper.
She is also an admirer of Kaguya. Her obsession has reached a point where just meeting Kaguya in person would make her faint in pure bliss.
Mirin Hinokuchi
Mirin is Ai Hayasaka’s friend at the school. She does not play any major role in the anime and has very little screen time.
From what we have seen, she loves gossip and likes to talk about other people’s romance life.
Nagisa Kashiwagi
Nagisa is a side character in Love is War who once seeked Kaguya’s help for romantic advice.
She is also Maki’s friend. She is the one that became a couple with Tsubasa, the boy Maki liked.
Nagisa is very possessive of her boyfriend and easily gets jealous and suspicious.
At one point she even hired a spy to check if her boyfriend was cheating on her.
However, once her doubts were cleared she became even closer to Tsubasa and is rumoured to have done “it” with him.
Kobachi Osaragi
Kobachi is Iino’s best friend. She has been having a look over Iino for over ten years as she is very gullible and can be easily fooled by people.
She is especially kind and protective when it comes to Iino.
Along with Iino she is a member of the Public Morals Committee and helps maintain discipline in the school grounds.
Papa Shirogane
Papa Shirogane is Miyuki and Kei’s father. He is a very free spirited person despite being a single dad who makes the bare minimum to support his family.
He realizes that Kaguya is in love with Miyuki and often urges her to make a move.
Over all, he is a great dad who does not force his dreams onto his children and lets them live a free life.
Nao Hayasaka
Nao is Ai Hayasaka’s mother. Similar to her daughter she is also working for Kaguya family.
Due to her work she rarely gets to spend time with her daughter. However when she does, Ai shows a cute side that is exclusive to her mom.
Nao’s personality is similar to Ai in many ways.
Rei Onedera
Rei Onedera is a member of the cheer leadning club. At first she looks like a spoiled rich girl who acts disinterested in things. However, she also has a kind side to her.
This is evident when she accompanies Iino for getting approval from the area residents for having Bonfire in the school festival.
Moeha Fujiwara
Moeha Fujiwara is Chika’s little sister. She is an adorable little girl who seems to be interested in the student council president, Miyuki Shirogane.
Knowing Shirogane more than her sister, Chika tries to warn her saying that he’s a piece of work, but she fails.
As a matter of fact, her attempt to make the president look lame backfired when he unexpectedly excelled at all the tasks that she gave him.
Tsubasa Tanuma
Tsubasa is the love interest of both Maki and Nagisa. However, he was only interested in Nagisa and proposed her following Shirogane’s advice and they became a couple.
He is not aware of the fact that Maki is romantically interested in him.
As far his personality is considered, he is a pure and good hearted fellow.
After dating Nagisa he is working hard to look cool in front of her, which made his grade go up a bit.

Which Characters In Love Is War Are Couples (Dating/in Relationship)?
Shirogane x Kaguya – They have not said the magical words yet, but they’ve skipped to couple activity like kissing and hand holding.
Tsubasa x Nagisa – This is a well known couple in Love is War anime. They don’t shy away from making out inside the school premise. They are madly in love with each other.
