8. Legendary Magician of Dark – 2010 World Championship Prize Card ($76,000)
The Legendary Magician of Dark is the rarest and most expensive XYZ monster. This Dark Magician card was one of the prize cards during the tenth edition of the Yu-Gi-Oh World Championships, which was held in 2010.
Because it was a milestone event, the two prize cards were based on Dark Magician and Blue Eyes. However, the Legendary Magician of Dark is more valuable. The value of the card did not come out until 2020, and it is now worth $76,000.
7. Des Volstgalph – Shonen Jump Championship Card ($95,000)
The Des Volstgalph was once used by Yugi in the anime. It was the prize card for the second Shonen Jump Championship (SJC) that was held in 2005.

And because Konami does not hold the SJC again, the card itself has become even more valuable.

Although it is a normal monster, it is still played in modern Dark Magician decks. However, the Duel Terminal Parallel Rare is the rarest of all versions of the card.

3. Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon’s Asia Championship Version ($400,000)
This is the most powerful monster in Seto Kaiba’s deck. When the Asian Championships took place in 2001, the winner got a copy of the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon card in a casing and signed by Kazuki Takahashi, the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh. This is why it is officially the most valuable and expensive Yu-Gi-Oh card of all time.
This version is one-of-a-kind, which makes it the rarest Blue-Eyes and Fusion Monster. In 2018, it was sold to a Japanese YouTuber for 45 million yen (or $400,000).
2. Tournament Black Luster Soldier – $10 million
At the first ever Yu-Gi-Oh tournament, the winner was awarded the legendary Black Luster Soldier that was used by Yugi Muto in the anime. However, it was not just any version, but one that was printed on stainless steel.
It was only then that cards were printed on stainless steel, and since it is a one-of-a-kind card, it is the rarest trading card ever. Kotaku reported that the owner put the card up for sale at 998 million yen ($10 million), which is the highest for any trading card.

Despite what the Black Luster Soldier is worth, there is another card that is so valuable that it is simply priceless. In 2002, a young man named Tyler was battling a rare form of liver cancer and was going to undergo an operation. When Make-A-Wish reached out to Tyler, he requested a custom card, which was created by Konami. The card is known as Tyler, the Great Warrior, and is the only Make-A-Wish card in Yu-Gi-Oh.
Tyler beat cancer and still holds the card today. Reports say that he has received lots of offers to buy the card, but he is not considering selling it. Since the card is one-of-a-kind and the owner is not willing to sell it, you cannot put a value on it. It is definitely priceless.
