The Hottest Anime Dads of All Time

Anime dads are hard to come by. No, really. I’m not kidding.

In most anime they are either dead, missing or on a long business trip never to return home again. Even if they’re not, they’re probably just old and wrinkly.

In such an anime world (that clearly has something against fathers), there are a few cool looking, handsome, hot anime dads that steal the center of attention of all fangirls.

Here’s a list of such hottest anime dads of all time!

As beauty lies in the eyes of the onlookers, it is difficult to “rank” this list. It’s a subjective thing, and everybody has their own preference. So I’m going to list them in the alphabetical order.

Also, I haven’t included any characters from Dragon ball series (as they all become fathers at one point) and Hunter x Hunter (as Ging looks too young. He looks like he’s just a couple of years older than his son lol. If anything, he’s more on the cute side than on the cool side.)

Akio Furukawa (Clannad)

Akio is one of my favorite anime dads. His personality is really cool, he offers some of the most valuable life advice and his protectiveness for his daughter is so intense that it’s funny.

Hampnie Hambart (Sunday Without God)

Not many people know about him or his anime–Sunday Without God. Regardless, he’s a really cool and badass anime dad who’s kind of a tsundere too.

Hohenheim Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist)

I know he hasn’t done any “fatherly things” to the Elric brothers, but when we talk about looks, this immortal dad definitely scores a place in this list!

Jōichirō Yukihira (Shokugeki no Sōma)

His entire character design screams badass! Just look at the thug-ish hair style and glaring eyes. Not to mention he’s a legendary chef to top it all!!

Kotetsu T. Kaburagi (Tiger & Bunny)

He has a special place in my heart as an anime father. His affection for his daughter was clear in the anime. But even so, he doesn’t hesitate to risk his life to perform his duties as a superhero.

This leads him to break several promises with his dear daughter and causes a drift between them, but at the end, they both just love each other. Beautiful, right?

Maes Hughes (Fullmetal Alchemist)

We all know how much he loves his family and his baby girl. He literally shoves the picture of his daughter on everybody’s face and keeps bragging about her daughter.

Minato Namikaze (Naruto)

He wasn’t alive to do his fatherly duties to Naruto and he ended up sealing the nine tail fox into his own son, but the end of the day, he certainly loved Naruto.

Ryoji Fujioka (Ouran High school Host Club)

“Wait. This post is about anime dads right? What’s a girl doing here?”

If that’s what you’re thinking, you clearly haven’t watched Ouran high school host club.

This person is a guy and he is the father of the main protagonist. He looks gorgeous, doesn’t he?

Vincent Phantomhive (Black Butler)

Oh my. We thought Sebastian was the hottest character in Black Butler, but seems like he’s got a contender!

Spirit Albarn (Soul Eater)

He’s pretty pervy and goes after other women, but he still loves his daughter. He’s supposed to one of the most handsome guys in the anime too!

These were all the hottest anime dads we’ve been blessed with. I was planning to post this on Father’s day, but here we go. I’m almost a week late.
