However, Subaru finds himself alive with no injuries what so ever, and what’s more, the things he experienced after coming to this world repeats again and finally meets the silver-haired girl again, only to repeat the history.

This Isekai anime will basically give you the chills with its bloody and gory scenes.

How Subaru evades death each time by actually dying and then going back in time to progress forward without dying is what this anime shines for.

The NPC servants of the guild come to life having unique characteristics based on their character description.

Momonga decides to command his servants to take over the world and see if there were any player stuck inside the game like himself.

This is the anime that made Isekai anime genre a more popular one. Kazuto Kirigaya, one of the beta testers of the famous virtual reality MMORPG Sword Art Online and thousands of other players find themselves stuck inside the game, unable to log out.

Soon after, the creator of the game announces that he has trapped the players inside the game and if they die in the game they will die in real life as well.

With the terrifying note from the creator, the players are left to choose their own way of life. Some resort to killing other players even though it meant killing them in real life, so that they can steal their gears and money.

Some decided to explore the games in hopes of finding a way out in the higher levels. While some others made a living as blacksmiths, tradesmen, etc.

Thus the MMORPG turned into a survival game where losing meant certain death.

6. Saga Of Tanya The Evil

Being pushed in front of a running train by his former co-worker, who was fired by him for taking a day leave, the protagonist finds that the time has stopped and his death was prolonged by beings who called themselves “God”.

He then challenges being-X to battle of wits, which resulted in him being reincarnated as a girl in a world of magical warfare.

With the mind and memory of the man he used to be, he started a new life as a girl called Tanya Degurechaff in this unknown time, seeking to exploit every possible situations to makes himself a comfortable life.

Being X, on the other had did everything in it’s power to stop her from leading a peaceful life so that she will one day come to accept God.

Tanya joins the military to survive, however “fate” throws her in the front rows and plunges her into battles and wars with other nations of the world. Can she survive defying the plots and schemes of the self-proclaimed Gods?

The Japanese military fended off the invaders who were pretty primal using swords and shields, and took control over the gate to the other dimension.

Three months after the attack, Youji has been tasked with leading a special recon team, as part of a JSDF task force, that will be sent to the world beyond the gate—now being referred to as the “Special Region.”

What mysteries await them on the other side of the gate?

Kazuma Satou, a shut-in NEET dies a pathetic death on his way back home after buying a game.

He then finds himself before the annoying goddess “Aqua” who gives him two options: move on to heaven or reincarnate into a fantasy world and defeat the demons terrorizing that world.

Kazuma chose the later, and he was told that he’ll be granted one thing to take into the world along with him which will aid him in his adventure to defeat the demons.

Pissed off by the goddess’ attitude, Kazuma chooses her as the item to take along with him.

Thus they begin a brand new adventure in the new fantasy world filled with magic!

Kazuma thought that it’ll be a lot easy to defeat the demons as he had a goddess by his side, but then, he comes to see the cold hard truth that Aqua is completely useless.

Can they still put an end to the demons reign, or will they just become one of those surviving in the Isekai world?

9. The Devil Is A Part-timer

Along with his loyal general Alsiel, the demon lord Satan is forced to flee into the human world after a battle with the hero Emilia.

Stuck in a world with no magic and having not enough magical energy to go back to his world, Satan takes a human form and starts working as a part-time employee in MgRonald’s.

In pursuit of Satan hero Emilia gets teleported into the Human world as well, only to find that Satan was now only just a part-timer and posed no threat to the human world.

However, Satan had other plans. He wanted to conquer the human world, one satisfied customer at a time.

This Isekai anime does not focus much on the action part, but however it does have a lot of slice of life and comedic moments.

10. Isekai Shokudou

MAL score: 7.39

Aired: Jul 4, 2017 to Sep 19, 2017

Isekai Shokudou – the restaurant to another world is a feel good anime which doesn’t have much in terms of story or lots, however it is just the thing you need if you’re looking for a slow paced, relaxing anime.

I think this anime is more suitable for a reverse Isekai anime list, however since it is in between Isekai anime and reverse Isekai anime I’ve added it here.

A door to the popular Western restaurant “Nekoya”, shows up once per seven days in various places of another world.

The other world inhabitants one-by-one finds out about this restaurant and ends up becoming regular customers enjoying the delicacies of the modern world.
