Kyoto Animation has just unveiled the main trailer and a breathtaking first key visual for Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie Part 2 (known in Japan as Saishuu Gakushou Hibike! Euphonium Kouhen).
Marking the definitive end of an 11-year journey, this final cinematic movement is officially scheduled to hit Japanese theaters on September 11, 2026.
If the newly released footage is anything to go by, KyoAnis is pulling out all the emotional and visual stops for Kumiko’s ultimate performance.

Why This Finale Matters
Since it first graced our screens back in 2015, Sound! Euphonium has established itself as an absolute masterclass in the coming-of-age genre.
It transformed a seemingly simple premise: a high school concert band trying to make it to nationals, into a sweeping, deeply human study of ambition, social friction, and personal growth.
Combined with Kyoto Animation’s unparalleled, industry-leading instrument animation, it has been a generational triumph.
With Part 1 having already set the stage earlier this spring, Part 2 is carrying the weight of a decade’s worth of fan expectations.
When the final note rings out this September, there won’t be a dry eye in the theater.
