Co op Local Multiplayer Anime Games For PC:

Co op games are cooperative games, where all of the players are a team. You’ll have to adventure with your partner(s) and fight tough bosses.

3. Arslan: The Warriors of Legend

Arslan-The-Warriors-of-Legend

This game is for those who love some musou action like in Dynasty Warriors. You get to hack and slash through thousands of mob characters. While you might think that it might be boring to do the same thing over and over again, it is oddly satisfying to see the mob flying around while we attack.

2. Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time

Little Witch Academia Chamber of Time anime game

Not many people would expect a non mainstream, non shonen anime to have a game. Which is why I was kind of surprised to hear that Little witch academia had a game!

While multiplayer mode isn’t the greatest thing about this game, it is a local multiplayer anime game that supports 3 players. It features a side scrolling adventure where you beat up enemies along the way.

1. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4

Local multiplayer anime games for pc

The One Piece: Pirate Warriors series is just getting better and better with each release. Pirate warriors 4 unfolds the whopping 900+ episodes of the anime’s story in a very brief, yet beautiful manner. While it is no substitute to watching the anime, it is a treat to watch the epic One Piece moments in 3D animation.

It has a local co op mode that allows up to 4 players. You’ll have to beat the hundreds of thousands of mob characters that charge at you and defeat the bosses like in other musou games. A perfect couch co op anime game, if you ask me.

PvP Local Multiplayer Anime Games For PC:

PvP games are Player versus Player game where both the players will be fighting each other.

10. Comic Stars Fighting

Comic Stars Fighting

Let’s start the list off with a cool indie, fan-made local multiplayer anime game called Comic stars fighting. While it may not be the fanciest anime game there is, it is still a decent game that’s worth a few hours of playing. This game is pretty old school and progresses level by level. It has a variety of shonen anime characters whom you can play as. The combat is pretty much the same as any retro game– mob fighting. You’ll have to fight your way through waves of enemy mobs and defeat the boss.

9. Anime Super Battle Stars MUGEN

Anime Super Battle Stars MUGEN

Here’s another fan made anime game! This game is pretty much Jump Force, except it is in 2D and has a lot of characters and moves. The sound effects aren’t that great, but what can you expect. This is a fan made game, and they did a really great job creating this one.

It has a plethora of shonen characters and you get to experiment with all the different kinds of moves from your favorite shonen animes!

8. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows

One punch man game multiplayer PvP

One punch man: A hero nobody knows is a brand new anime game that was released last year (Feb 2020.) While, it did have a decent hype before the release, the game didn’t deliver enough to be talked about it.

The entire fact that having Saitama, the guy who one punches  as a playable character was a mystery and fans were curious to know how they were going to handle his power level. And I’d say they did a decent job at that. It has a good animation, good sound effects and decent cinematics.

7. Kill la Kill – IF

Local multiplayer anime games PC

Kill la Kill – IF is a fighting game which has a different story line than the anime, thus the “IF” in the title. If something was different in the story, this is how it’d pan out.

Anyhow, it does have a local multiplayer support where you can play as your favorite character from the Kill la kill universe. It is another arena fighting game where the last one standing wins.

6. One Piece Burning Blood

Local multiplayer anime games for PC

This game is one of my most recent discoveries. I didn’t know there was a One piece arena fighting game which actually took haki and other buffs/debuffs into account.

The single player story mode starts at the Paramount war arc, which is at least 500 chapters away from the beginning of the story. Meaning, if you haven’t watched One Piece before, you won’t understand what’s going on.

However, if you’re just looking for a local multiplayer anime game, One piece burning blood is just right. Note: You’ll have to finish the paramount war arc in order to unlock the multiplayer mode.

5. Jump Force

Anime games like Jump Force

Jump Force is a very ambitious game that aimed to create a fighting game with characters from different anime series. It received a huge attention from the anime community and people were hyped.

However, when it was actually released, it underdelivered. Mostly because the story mode was not as good. But that won’t be a problem for you, as there is no story in multiplayer mode. It is just a normal 1P vs 2P fighting game.

The animation and the sound effects of this game are great. But the characters have very little attacks. If you’re here after playing a game like Tekken 7, which has a huge key combination of attacks, this will be disappointing for you.

Regardless, when I first played this game with my gaming partner, I played on for hours! It only begins to get boring once you’ve explored everything this game has to offer.

4. My Hero Academia One’s Justice 1,2

My Hero Academia One's Justice - PC anime games

One’s Justice is undeniably one of the greatest My Hero Academia games there is. It’s story mode is pretty good as it lets us play through the anime’s actual story.

As a local multiplayer anime game, it supports up to 2 players. We can choose from a big rooster of MHA characters, the stages are key locations from the anime and the fighting mechanism it pretty great. Overall, it’s a good game to try if you love fighting games.

3. Dragon Ball FighterZ

Dragon Ball FighterZ

Almost all of the anime games are in the fighting genre. It is only obvious that the anime that is famously known for fighting, DBZ, also has a few amazing games to contribute to this list.

Dragon Ball FighterZ has an amazing graphics, gameplay, sound effects, etc. This game is perfect in all the aspects.

It has both local and online multiplayer modes.

2. DRAGON BALL: XENOVERSE 2

DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 local multiplayer anime games

Yet another dragon ball fighting game, but you get to fight in a 3D arena, meaning you get to roam around in all the directions unlike in 2D fighting games.

It features all the great characters from the anime series, and the story mode is decent as well. It has great sound effects and animation too!

1. NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: ULTIMATE NINJA STORM 4

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN ULTIMATE NINJA STORM 4

Considering how Naruto was a huge success as an anime, it is only normal for the series to have few game adaptations.

Among all the other Naruto fighting games, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is the biggest hit!

It has over 100 characters to choose from, and the player can switch between 3 characters in a fight.

An enhanced version of this game, titled Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto, was released in February 2017.

It is by far the best of all the local multiplayer anime games out there!

Other Anime Related Local Multiplayer Games:

3. Hardcore Mecha

Hardcore Mecha

Now, this isn’t a game of an actual anime. However, as you can find from its name, it is about Mecha, which is a Japanese/anime term for giant robots! This game supports up to 4 players in local multiplayer.

It’s an arena fighting game, where you have to be the last mecha standing in order to win.

2. Skullgirls

Skullgirls - anime like games

Skullgirls is a 2D fighting game that was initially released in 2012. It has an interesting animation and superb sound effects. The fights also have a little fanservice, showing panty shots and cleavages whenever you use certain attacks. Something for the degenerate weebs out there.

This game is so perfect that it got a 10/10 on steam and 4.5/5 on PC Mag. This game is also available on mobile devices where the battle mechanism is much simpler.

1. Tales Of Symphonia

Best co op anime RPG game

Tales of Symphonia is the greatest co op anime RPG game there is. And what’s better? It is co op!

The “Tales” series have been greatly popular on other gaming platforms, but they hadn’t released anything for PC. But that changed when Tales of Symphonia got released on 2016.

This game takes you on a magical adventure where you, the chosen one, have to deal with the darkness that’s overshadowing the world of Sylvarant. This game’s battle mechanism are brilliant which gives plenty of room for you to try out variety of techniques, spells, strategies and items.

That’s it! These were the best local multiplayer anime games for pc!! Do remember that for some of the games you’ll have to play it in single player mode in order to unlock the multiplayer mode. You can look up the unlock conditions on the internet.
