Genshin Impact
A free-to-play RPG like Genshin Impact is nearly unheard-of. It’s polished, has a strong primary plot, a stunning and bustling open world, co-op and cross-play with up to three friends, and it’s an anime game that genuinely thrives due to its art style.
It has been compared to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but we think it resembles more to games that are more story oriented.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4
Finally, a One Piece game that you can truly be proud of playing. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is one of the best JRPGs out of recent memory.
This Action Adventure game throws you into the world of the Strawhat Pirates with a brilliant story that pushes you deeper into its world.
Players will journey with Luffy and the Sanji Retrieval team via Whole Cake Island in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 as they battle to free Sanji from a political union created by Big Mon.
Players will also be able to use the recently launched “Titan Mode.”
This game brings some much-needed changes to the One Piece games formula.
Now, player characters can level up a total of 4 different special attacks that they can use. Additionally, heroes now have stronger skills for juggling adversaries during air combat, emphasizing the importance of air combat even more.
Like in the first Pirate Warriors game, characters can change mid-battle, such as Luffy using Gear 4. The maps resemble those from the first Pirate Warriors in terms of style, but they’re larger and feature MUCH more enemy variety and better graphics.
Considering everything, this is a SOLID single player experience that you simply have to dive right into.
Persona 5 Royal
The 2016 role-playing video game Persona 5 was created by Atlus.

Eternal Return
I introduce this game to you because it is a little unique compared to other anime games in that it has the strongest RTS aspect among many existing anime games.
In general, most anime games use a side-scrolling camera view like fighting games, or perspective camera view like Fortnite which can show your cute or handsome anime character from the backside for greater user experience so that a player can be happy with their anime avatars.
However, a special feature of Eternal Return is that it has a camera (orthogonal) view from the sky, just like League of Legends.
This method is mainly found in RTS games, where various strategies and tactics can be applied, which isn’t common for most anime games.
There are very few anime games with a strong RTS aspect, except for this game and the Fire Emblem series, and also except for some JRPGs.
And this game is probably the only one anime game with RTS style as of 2022 September if we only consider competitive online anime games.
As of September 2022, it has the largest number of players among all anime pvp games, and is a very competitive anime battle royale game.
About the game modes, Team Deathmatch mode called Cobalt Protocol is provided, but the central popular content of the game is the Battle Royale mode, which provides three party sizes: single/duo/squad.
About 20 players are paired up with 1-3 people each team, and survive to the end of the game to win. So this game is great for playing with 2-3 or more friends.
You can freely invite anyone to manually create the party.
The biggest problem is that, in order to win well in this game, finding skilled players, the build you use, and the combination of characters with your allies (team compositions) are very important.
To find the best working builds and team compositions with such a high winrate, or to find skilled players, you can visit the AEG (anime gaming community website) and check a forum which lists working Eternal Return builds ordered by tier list, in which each builds are thoroughly tested.
And also there is a team composition (aka. team comps) forum which provides you with an effective working team composition of duo/squad size and its strategies.
I recommend this game to anyone who has enjoyed RTS games in the past like League of Legends, StarCraft, etc.
It is a very active game with a lot of people, with new content and balance updated every 2~3 weeks.
Dragon Ball FighterZ
Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the best anime games ever created. However, that’s not the only thing to it, it’s a phenomenal fighting game in its own right, with some of the best mechanics you’ll find in the genre.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is an homage to the fantastic Dragon Ball Saga, and the developers have given their all to make it the most authentic-looking Dragon Ball game to date.
It has amazing graphical fidelity, and a unique art style that makes it fit right into the Dragon Ball world.
The fluidity of the animations make every punch, kick, Ki Blast, kamehameha and spirit ball look ripped right out of the anime.
It has a humongous roster of playable characters, including all of your favorites from the franchise.
It is also the one of most competitive fighting games on this list, with an E-Sports scene, a fantastic set of servers that make it so smooth to play even in online matches. This is the game you NEED to try out.
