In 2022, the losses escalated to 381 million yen, nearly US$2.82 million. Presently, Studio Kai faces a debt of 1.37 billion yen, with a negative income of 1.05 billion yen.
Unfortunately, the anime’s first season failed to generate substantial profits, significantly reducing the likelihood of Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 getting approved. At least, I don’t think Studio Kai would chose to work on the sequel given their financial constraints.
They’d be better of working on newer titles that might go viral and bring them profit.
