Top 10 Most Powerful FMA Villains Of All Time

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is one of the greatest anime with a versatile roster of villains. In this article, we will be taking a look at the 10+ strongest villains in the FMA Brotherhood.

Fullmetal Alchemist has a few characters who are kind of anti heroes. But for the sake of simplicity, I’m going to consider them as antagonists too because that was their introductory role.

This ranking is purely on my personal reasoning and I do not have the facts to back it. That said, let us jump into the listing!

  5. Pride

  8. Greed
  9. Envy
  10. Lust

Solf J. Kimblee

Solf J. Kimblee - strongest fma antagonist

FMA’s secondary antagonist, Solf J. Kimblee, is an agent for King Bradley and serves in that capacity throughout the story.

He was very good at destructive alchemy, which is why he was also known as “the Crimson Alchemist.”

Kimblee is a psychopath who takes delight in causing harm to other people. He is also curious and uncaring about his actions.

Because of the powerful alchemy he knows, he can make anyone explode just by touching them.

By utilizing the philosopher’s stone, he is able to further extend the range of his explosions and increase their destructive potential.

He was the one who started fighting with the Ishval people, and he was also the one who destroyed all of their land.

Lust

Lust - fma antagonist

Lust is the only villain in FMA who is a female character, and she is the personification of the father’s lust.

She is a tall, stunning woman with great black hair and a voluptuous physique. She is most often seen with gluttony and has a strong relationship that is similar to that of a mother with him.

Her way of thinking is very cruel, and she enjoys torturing her enemies before killing them.

Lust is not only one of the most attractive homunculi in the Fullmetal Alchemist series, but also one of the most powerful.

By talking to people in a seductive way, she is able to quickly get information from them and get them to fight against each other.

During battle, she turned her fingers into long, sharp claws that she could use to cut through her enemies quickly.

Her most famous battle is against the Flame Alchemist, Roy Mustang, in which she gives it her all but is unable to prevail against him. This fight has become a fan favorite.

Envy

Envy - fma villains

Envy is one of the villainous characters that played a major role in FMA. He’s also one of the seven Homunculi who can shapeshift. can turn into people, animals, or human parts.

He’s the embodiment of the father’s envy in Fullmetal Alchemist.

Envy is ruthless, nasty, and terrible as a person.

He can be foolish, noisy, and funny among other homunculi and humans.

Envy can also regenerate quickly, resist contamination, self-sustain, impersonate, and possess.

Greed

Greed

Greed is not really a villain in FMA. He actually fought the true villains in the show. However, he started out as an antagonist, so I’m adding him to this list.

He is a selfish person who appreciates luxury, strong minions, and lovely women.

He’s the personification of the Father’s greed.

He’s greedy and self centered but also cares about his employees.

Deep down, Greed merely wants caring companions.

He’s called the “Ultimate Shield” because he can rearrange the carbon in his body to make a diamond-hard skin.

This shield protected him from most weapons.

He also has immortality, rapid regeneration, contamination immunity, self-sustenance, and enhanced physiology.

Sloth

Sloth - fma antagonist

As well as being the most nimble of all the homunculi, Sloth is also the personification of his sloth.

The only thing he wanted was to get his task done so he could go to sleep. He had a massive, muscular body and teeth that were hard and pointed.

He has a very simple mind and always does what he is told.

As part of the plan to turn Amestris into a Philosopher’s Stone, Sloth has been charged with excavating a large transmutation circle from the ground beneath the country.

Because of his extraordinary levels of physical strength and speed, he is easily able to crush his opponents with just the palm of his hand.

Gluttony

Gluttony - fma villains

Gluttony is the homunculus with the most insatiable appetite, and it also serves as a personification of Father’s Gluttony. He is also easily the most powerful villain character in FMA.

Gluttony acts like a child and isn’t able to control his hunger.

He is constantly hungry and consumes an unpredictable amount of humans and other animals.

Gluttony has a strong, loving bond with the other homunculi, and he often refers to them as his own brothers and sisters.

He has incredible strength, speed, agility, and endurance, which allow him to compete on the same level as highly skilled alchemists.

Because of his exceptional sense of smell, he is able to easily locate his adversaries, even when they are a great distance away.

His ability to heal is also amazing, because it lets him fully heal even after every part of his body has been blown to pieces.

Pride

Pride - powerful fma antagonist

Father made Pride his very first homunculus, and he sees Pride as the personification of his own pride.

His true name in the human world is Selim Bradley, and he is the son of King Bradley. Pride is also one of the strongest villains in FMA.

He is egoistic, ruthless, and self-centered, and his physical prowess is significantly superior to that of other homunculi.

Pride has no problem treating humans as slaves because he regards them as a lower species or insect.

His homunculus form appears to be a big, shadowy black mass with a number of eyes and mouths scattered around its surface.

He shows how bad-tempered he is by eating Gluttony and joining forces with him to beat the Elric Brothers in a fight.

Wrath

King Bradley (Wrath) - fullmetal alchemist antagonist

King Bradley is FMA’s second main villain. He’s one of seven formidable Homunculi.

Wrath is the last homunculus that Father has ever created.

He’s also an Amestris Fuhrer whose goal is to implement the Father’s plan to make him omnipotent.

King Bradley is cheerful and relaxed when he is acting like a normal human.

He’s sarcastic but rarely violent. But he is, in fact, the personification of rage and anger. He just hides them so well..

Bradley has superhuman strength, reflexes, and endurance as Wrath.

He has superior speed, coordination, resolve, intelligence, and instincts.

Scar

Scar

Scar is not necessarily a perfect fit for this list of FMA villains as he is not evil. He is a good guy who does bad things. However, I’m adding him to this list as he was a villain as far as Edward was concerned.

His real name is not known.

He was out on a mission to kill all state alchemists. This is due to the fact that he was under the impression that they were all killers who were responsible for the massacre of his family and town.

Scar is without a doubt an enraged, spiteful, and frustrated individual in his own right. His rage at those who destroyed his homeland is almost unbearable.

Scar is a tough opponent when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, and he has a lot of stamina for someone his size.

He was also very flexible, quick, and sneaky, which helped him dodge bullets.

In addition to this, thanks to the intricate and mysterious Transmutation Array that has been tattooed onto his hand, he has the ability to demolish whatever it comes into contact with.

Father

strongest fma villains ranked - Father

FMA’s main villain is Father. He’s the oldest homunculus who generated the other seven. He’s also called the dwarf in the flask and appears in several incarnations.

He’s egotistical, manipulative, vicious, and self-centered.

Father’s first form is a black gas ball with a single eye, a bizarre mouth, and tentacle-like limbs.

Later in the story, he takes on a human-like look, but he just sees humans as instruments.

He considered every homunculus his child and said he wanted a new family.

Father’s quest for power led him to absorb Pride and Greed without thinking.

Father’s final form mirrors Hohenheim’s youth.

He declared himself the new God in this way. This supernatural power lets him construct anything of any size.

Truth

The-Truth-strongest-fullmetal-alchemist-antagonist

Truth is the single most powerful entity in all of Fullmetal Alchemist. He is omnipotent and is not destroyable.

That said, he is not actively evil all the time because he does not have access to the physical world. He’s just got a bad personality.

Truth is the source of Father, who created other homunculi and made a mess on Earth. He is also the one who took the limbs and body of the Edward brothers.

One great thing about Truth is that he keeps his words, although he can be sly and deceitful at times.

That’s it for this post. These are the top 10 strongest villains in Fullmetal Alchemist series.
