My Isekai Life Season 2 Release Date & Renewal Status
Studio Revoroot’s silence on My Isekai Life Season 2 leaves fans waiting. As of November 2023, there is still no news regarding the sequel.
With Season 1 ending only a year ago, a renewal may take time. The source material, published since 2018, now has enough content to cover the second season’s story. Expect a year or more for the next season, or maybe shorter episodes. Revoroot and other producers are to decide.
Revoroot Studios aims to compete with other OG anime studios’ dominance. The return of My Isekai Life in the game could shift focus from them to Revoroot.
While Revoroot is relatively new to the industry, it challenges the established studio’s popularity. With time, it may surpass popular studios like Passione and Satelight.
The only problem is the anime’s rating. Despite being an unusual isekai story, the anime has gained a below average rating on MyAnimeList. This will be a huge deciding factor for the renewal of season 2.
For now, there is a 50/50 chance that a second season might release in the future.
Is There Enough Source Material For A Sequel?
The TV show, adapted from Shinkoshoto’s My Isekai Life light novel series with Huuka Kazabana’s illustrations, has garnered attention from anime enthusiasts. Shinkoshoto is also known for The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest, another anime adaptation.
The My Isekai Life Light novels have reached Volume 13 as of November 2023, indicating a potential conclusion.
The series originated as a completed web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou in October 2017, concluding in February 2020.
It also inspired a manga in Square Enix’s Manga UP! magazine, with 20 volumes by November 2023. Although no official English light novel translation exists, Square Enix initiated the English manga release in 2022.
The adaptation began with uneven pacing, but it stabilized with three episodes per light novel. The final episodes omitted critical plot elements, providing an abridged adaptation with both condensed source material and an anime-original ending.
Regardless, there is just enough source material for season 2 of My Isekai Life. The first season only covered volumes 5 or 6, approximately. There are still five more left for another season.
What Will Happen In My Isekai Life Season 2?
The My Isekai Life anime by Studio Revoroot diverges from traditional isekai introductions, opting for a flashback narrative. It features an emotionless, overpowered protagonist and adorable slime companions. The anime’s explanation of the protagonist’s abilities requires clarification from the author.
The last season left us with unanswered questions. Yuji’s life is no longer private, and he’s becoming a mass hero. The Blue Moon organization has mysterious plans. The upcoming season promises more magic and suspense. The seemingly trivial matter in Obsdarion turns chaotic. Yuji is far from the organization’s leader.
The evil group is working on a massive Purifier system, which could be catastrophic. Yuji must locate the leader planning world destruction. New powers and spells await him, but he must explore uncharted territory.

Which Studio Will Animate The Sequel?
Season 1 was the work of Studio Revoroot. So, it is only natural to expect the same studio to work on My Isekai Life season 2.
This studio is relatively new, with only 7 years of experience in the industry. They’ve also only animated a total of six anime series so far, as of September 2023.
So, the studio does not have any historical data regarding renewals and sequel creations. But since they don’t seem to have many projects going on, we can hope that they’ll opt to renew Tensei Kenja no Isekai Life with a new season.
