Isekai de Cheat Skill Season 2 Release Date & Renewal Status
As of November 2023, no official confirmation exists for Isekai de Cheat Skill Season 2. The producers are silent about renewal. Mixed reviews and a somewhat disappointing season finale have left the show in doubt.
The show’s initial strong episodes were strong. Its contrast visuals were eye catching. However, the animation budget was clearly very low. The studio used awkward camera angles to avoid complicated animations.
This resulted in average IMDb and MyAnimeList ratings of 6.3/10 and 6.36, respectively. With 13 episodes and a concluded story, no new season has been confirmed yet.
That said, this series has huge potential. If done right, this could easily be a hit in the Isekai genre. After all, there are not many anime with the same unique take on Isekai.
Regardless, it is too soon to tell whether a sequel is possible or not. Normally, sequels get released within the first five years of the initial season. So, there is still time for the series to get renewed.
All we can do is keep our fingers crossed and hope the producers will see the potential in this isekai goodness.
But wait, there’s good news too. While it is not a sequel, a new project for this series was announced at the Fantasia Bunko Thanksgiving Festival 2023. This could be the adaptation of the “Isekai de Cheat Skill: Girls’ Side” light novel series.

Is There Enough Source Material For Iseleve 2?
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World too anime is based on a light novel of the same name. The light novel series that started in December 2018 is still going on. It has 14 volumes so far, as of November 2023.
It also has an ongoing manga adaptation that started in 2019 and has had five volumes so far. In 2023, we got the anime adaptation, which covered volumes 1–5 of the novel.
So, there is more than enough source material for Isekai de Cheat skill season 2.
If you want to pick up the LN after the anime, then start from volume 5 for better continuity.
What Will Happen In Isekai de Cheat Skill Season 2?
Iseleve has a unique take on the Isekai genre where the MC can freely travel between two different worlds. Not only that, he gets to use the skills and items he got in the other realm in his real world.
Season 1 left off with a lot of mysteries and unfinished businesses. We saw Usagi train Yuuya to face off with evil. But the evil is not completely defeated yet.
So, we are sure to have some epic battles in the upcoming season.
Not to mention, the love triangle between Yuuya, Kaori, and Lexia will intensify as the girls fight for Yuuya.
Now that Kaori knows Yuuya’s secrets, she will most likely take part in his Isekai adventures.

Which Studio Will Animate Iseleve 2?
Season 1 was the work of Studio Millepensee. They are a relatively small company that has only worked on 27 anime projects so far.
This is the studio that was responsible for “So I’m a spider so what”, “Berserk”, and “Cop Craft”.
We can expect them to continue handling Isekai de Cheat Skill season 2, because why not? Their animation was not exactly perfect, but it was good enough. With a little more budget, they will surely be able to create the perfect adaptation for the second season.
