Ultramarine Magmell Season 2 Release Date & Status
The anime’s first season offers unique adventures in each episode, resembling Hunter X Hunter’s style. Despite the positive audience response, critics weren’t impressed. Speculation points to low ratings as causing the delay in renewal.
The makers haven’t confirmed Ultramarine Magmell Season 2 yet, leaving fans curious. While ratings were modest, the story resonated with fans, indicating commercial success.
Ample source material exists for a new installment. However, the anime’s first season was not faithful to the manhua, further reducing the chances of a sequel.
Fans eagerly await more stories, believing Ultramarine Magmell Season 2 deserves a chance. If demand persists, the producers might bring back the anime.
Honestly, I’d prefer a remake or rebooted version of the anime because the manhua’s story is far better than the anime’s.
Is There Enough Source Material For A Sequel?
The anime adapts the plot from the Manhua (Chinese comic) series, with eight volumes published since September 2014. The manhua is still ongoing, according to Wikipedia. However, we have not gotten any new volumes since 2019, which is a concern.
The Ultramarine Magmell’s first season covered the first 6 chapters of the Manhua faithfully. After that, the story is completely different. The anime does not follow the actual Chinese manga after chapter 6.
So, technically, there is a lot of source material for season 2. But since the anime already messed up the story, there is no chance of continuing the manhua adaptation. The only hope is a remake.
What Will Happen In Ultramarine Magmell Season 2?
The anime follows different adventures in each episode, like most cartoon series. The one thing that is common in all the episodes is that the mysterious land of Magmell is at the center of all the adventures.
Working as a lifeguard (sort of), Inyou has to venture into the forest filled with mysterious beasts and save foolish people who get stuck there hoping to find treasure.
So, in the second season, we are sure to see more such adventures filled with comedy and drama. We will get to see new characters that our MC will meet through his adventures.
Which Studio Will Animate The Next Season?
Season one of the show is the work of Pierrot Plus, which is now known as Studio Signpost. If we ever get a new season of Ultramarine Magmell, there is a chance that Signpost will continue the adaptation.
However, since the first season got a bad rating, it is possible that some other studio will handle the adaptation as well. As of August 30, 2023, we do not have any information on the studio that will adapt the second season.

Given that Netflix is a distributor of this anime, we can expect them to update their library with new episodes when season 2 releases. Also, BiliBili might have the latest season available to stream because they were one of the producers of the first season. If they continue to act as producers in season 2, we can surely expect the new season to be available on BiliBili.
