Sky Wizards Academy, or Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan, originated as a 2013 light novel series. Authored by Yū Moroboshi and illustrated by Yuka Nakajima, the LN garnered significant popularity until 2017. A twelve-episode anime adaptation by Studio Diomedia debuted in July 2015, and in March 2016, an OVA followed.

The first season faced criticism and commercial issues, so there is not much demand for the series compared to new and trending shows like Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy.

Anime adaptations often struggle for renewal due to source material constraints. The Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan LN concluded in 2017, which means Sky Wizards Academy’s renewal is possible. Fans’ petitions might influence renewal.

The story will start from Volume 7 of the light novel series, since the anime covered until volume 6.

Given that it is an action anime, we can definitely expect a ton of magic battles with neat animation. We can also expect the next season to be the finale, as there are only 7 volumes left, which is just enough to make another 10-12 episode long season.

Which Studio Will Animate The Next Season?

Diomedéa, a Japanese animation studio experienced at crafting harem themed shows is the company that was responsible for Sky Wizards Academy season 1.

It is possible that the same studio will continue animating the sequel. However, since they were critized for not adapting the light novel properly it is also possible that the renewal will be handed down to some other studio.
