My Next Life As A Villainess Season 3 Release Date & Status
The second season of “My Next Life as a Villainess” concluded on September 18, 2021.
As of August 28, 2023, there’s no official renewal for a third season. Studio Silver Link and the official channels haven’t provided updates. While anime renewals can take time, the relatively short gap between the first two seasons gives hope for a swift announcement.
The series has announced a movie, hinting at a possible continuation. The film’s revenue could support a new season. The movie is set to premiere on December 8, 2023, featuring a key visual that showcases Catarina Claes as a director.
If everything goes well, we can expect them to release the third sequel in late 2024 or mid-2025, considering one year for production.
Is There Enough Source Material For A Sequel?
To predict a new season, key factors such as source material availability come into play. Let’s take a look at this factor.
Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta is an adaptation of the light novel series of the same name. Currently, in 2023, there are a total of 12 volumes in the novel.
The first two seasons of the anime covered 2 volumes each, up to the fourth volume of the light novel. However, the third season of My Next Life As A Villainess will start with volume 6, because the 5th volume is kind of an OVA material.
The upcoming Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta… Movie, scheduled to release in December 2023, isn’t labeled as a “Sequel” on MyAnimeList. So, it is possible that volume 5 might be covered in the movie.
Since there are 6 more volumes left for adaptation, the anime’s third season has more than enough source material.

SILVER LINK is a popular Japanese animation studio that has been in the industry since 2007. They have animated over 100 anime, including popular ones like Non Non Biyori, Kokoro Connect, and Baka to Test.
If they confirm the sequel to My Next Life As A Villainess, we can expect Silver Link to continue the anime adaptation.
This has not been officially announced at this point in time. But since they have already animated two seasons and are taking care of the upcoming movie, I’m pretty sure Silver Link will never hand off the adaptation to anyone.
