Isn’t that amazing we already have two seasons of KonoSuba, with a movie & a crossover spin-off? What a great time to be alive! With the recent release of the Legend of Crimson moive, Konosuba season 3 might not be far off.
So far, only a few volumes of the light novel were adapted into anime, which means there is a lot of Megumin, Darkness, Aqua, and Kazuma to enjoy in the future too.
KonoSuba is an isekai anime that follows Kazuma Satō, a NEET teenager gets transported to a game-like world after his (uncool) premature death.
There hasn’t been any official announcement regarding S3, but, it looks Kazuma shall be gearing up with the 3rd season pretty soon.
Konosuba- A Recap
KonoSuba or Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! is an anime series, aired in 2016, based on a light novel of the same name.
The light novel series was illustrated by Mishima and authored by Natsume Akatsuki.
The Konosuba television anime series, having 10-episode premiered in January 2016 in Japan. Till today, it has gained a huge fan base that keeps on increasing with each new season.
It is a comedy fantasy isekai series cherished by people across the globe, which trails a teenager called Kazuma Satō, who finds himself with the bad party members, i.e., Darkness, the pain lover. Megumin, the explosion maniac and Aqua, the useless goddess.
What’s more? He has to defeat The Devil King with this party.
After only two seasons, Konosuba, an anime television series, has released a movie known as KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson in 2019. Takaomi Kanasaki is the director of this movie. Also, it is produced by J.C Staff company.
Konosuba Season 3- Release Date
Sadly, the author hasn’t announced the Konosuba Season 3 release date.
For now, we are waiting for more details about the 3rd season. We shall update details on the 3rd season as soon as we get a release date on the official Twitter account of Konosuba.
Still, we may predict that the month will either be January 2022 or April 2022. Normally, most anime series will be released within six months after they are publicly announced. So, we may hear something about the release date soon.
Let us hope we will get to know about Konosuba season 3 very soon. Many anime fans are eager to know about the release of the 3rd season of Konosuba, but for now, all we can do is wait for positive news from the camp of Konosuba.
Konosuba Season 3- Plot
Till now, Volumes one to four has been covered in the anime adaptation of Konosuba. And the movie covered volume 5. So S3 will comprise of the story from volume 6 and 7. Therefore, if you can’t wait for Konosuba Season 3 to be out, you can go get a head start by reading Volume 6.
Konosuba has a total of 17 light novel volumes released in Japan till date. In 2021, the Konosuba light novel got finished, showing that the story is completed.
We think that the Konosuba Season 3 shall take the story onward, and it is expected to cover light novel volumes six to seven.

Where to Watch Konosuba
Obviously, Crunchyroll is the go to place for watching Konosuba (and any other anime for that matter.)
Both S1, S2 and the movie are exclusively available on Crunchyroll; hence, it is unavailable on Hulu, Amazon Prime Videos, Netflix, or Funimation.

A lot of anime series have been delayed lately. Why? Due to the COVID pandemic. People are slowly getting used to this lifestyle, but the delay it initially caused will take some time to catch up. This was also the reason for the Legend of the Crimson Movie’s late release.
