Viz Media holds the English publishing rights for North America. Liden Films adapted the manga into an anime that aired from July to September 2022 on Fuji TV’s Noitamina block.
The manga won the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award in the Shonen category in 2023. Viz Media announced their plans to release the English version on July 3, 2020, and the first volume was published on April 13, 2021.

Call of the Night Season 2 Release Date & Renewal Status
The anime cleverly used vampire tropes and an engaging story, resonating with the audience and becoming a huge success. Fans expect a second season due to the series’ popularity and success of renewing seasonal anime.
Though no official statement has been released, the manga’s popularity suggests a high chance of a season 2.

Either way, the second season of Yofukashi no Uta will not air in 2023. This is because, animes usually release at least a year after the announcement of production. In this case, we are already in mid 2023, so even if they announce the production of a sequel, we will only be able to see it on screens by late 2024.
What Will Happen In Call Of The Night Season 2?
In the next Call of the Night season, the story will continue from manga Chapter 46. The studio will also animate postponed chapters. Season 2 will explore Nazuna’s past, and Kou’s relationship with Nazuna and other vampires. A surprise twist awaits regarding Kou’s transformation. The anime has been building up to this moment.
We will see some romantic moments, as well as dramatic moments. Of course, there will be plenty of comedy scenes as well. We will see Kou getting used to his new lifestyle as a vampire-in-training, making friends with other characters. Which Studio Will Animate The Sequel?
Studio LIDENFILMS, renowned for Tokyo Revengers and Koi to Uso, animated Call of the Night Season 1. Although not officially confirmed, it’s probable they will produce Season 2.
Given their expertise in romantic comedy anime, it’s no wonder they were selected to animate the series. We can expect flawless visuals based on their successful track record.
Is There Enough Source Material for Call of the Night Season 2?
The Call of the Night anime is based on Kotoyama’s manga series. It began in August 2019 in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday. As of August 2023, fifteen volumes are out, and the manga is still ongoing. We have been getting 3 to 4 volumes a year, so the total volumes will soon hit twenty by 2024.
