The 12-episode run aired from April to June 2019. Fans await the next installment, although it seems impossible at this point.

The first season pleased viewers with its mix of comedy, ecchi, and romance. Even though the anime has a rating of only 6.72, some fans want Ao-Chan Can’t Study Season 2.
However, creators haven’t shared updates on the release date of the next season. It’s common for anime renewals to take time. But since four years have already passed, a renewal does not seem very likely.
Besides, there is not enough manga content to adapt into anime. The first season covered everything the manga had to offer, so the story is concluded.
So, we will not be seeing Midara na Ao-chan wa Benkyou ga Dekinai again.
Is There Enough Manga Source Material For A Sequel?
“Ao-chan Can’t Study!” anime is based on Ren Kawahara’s manga. The manga’s 8 volumes are its source material. However, the manga ended back in 2018 with only 8 volumes. The anime adaptation covered all published volumes. Spin-off episodes followed, but they’re insufficient for Season 2.
With a popularity score of 67.8%, a lack of source material makes a new season unlikely. If the manga continues someday, a new season might be possible, but it’s doubtful.
