The novel was adapted into a 12-episode anime by Arms Studio, originally airing from July 6, 2012, to September 21, 2012. Funimation holds the North American license.

Season one of Rogue Hero aired from July 6, 2012, to September 21, 2012, with 12 episodes produced by Arms Studios.
As of September 2023, there’s been no word from the studio or writer about Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero season 2.
Ten years have passed since the show’s end, making a second season seem improbable, though not impossible. Studios often don’t announce the cancellation of older shows to avoid affecting manga and merchandise sales.
In 2012, the anime sold six volumes with an average of 2,188 sales per volume, but disc sales have declined over the years.
Arms Studios, known for certain content types, rarely produces second seasons, further diminishing renewal hopes.
Currently, the chances of renewal are low, and Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero’s status stands as “Abandoned.”
If, by some miracle, the series is picked up, a tentative release date for season 2 could be in 2025, considering the average 1 to 1 and a half-year production time.
Is There Enough Source Material For A Sequel?
On February 28, 2013, Tetsuto Uesu’s and Tamago no Kimi’s light novel series came to an end with 11 volumes.
The initial season of the anime adapted the first three volumes.
While there’s enough source material for a new season, the anime ended in 2013, and its promotional efforts have weakened. Not to mention, the mixed reviews for the show don’t help either.
A revival of the light novel could signal a new anime season, but there’s no sign of it. So, despite having a good amount of unadapted LN volumes, this anime will probably not get renewed.
What Will Happen In Aesthetica Of A Rogue Hero Season 2?
In the season one finale of Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, titled “The Beautiful Demon Warrior, Miu,” Miu and Harak are transported to Alayzard. Listy informs them that her friends have been captured.
Suddenly, a plant monster appears, startling them. Since this is an Ecchi anime, we saw some tentacle action. The scene shifts, and Miu questions if it was a dream. Akatsuki scolds her for staying up late.
According to the prologue in the fourth volume, Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero season 2 will embark on a new adventure. Akatsuki and Miu’s relationship may deepen despite their pseudo-sibling status.
Unanswered questions, like Akatsuki’s brother’s involvement with the council, conflicts with the School Council President, Alayzard’s mysteries, and Akatsuki’s father’s fate, may find resolutions.
Haruka’s return could complicate things as she vies for Akatsuki’s attention. Rumors suggest Miu might confront Haruka to protect her relationship with Akatsuki. Aokusa, who struggled to summon his weapon in season one, may wield an upgraded sword.
Which Studio Will Animate the Next Season?
Studio Arms is a Japanese animation company that excels at producing ecchi and harem themed shows. It was established in 1996 and has produced over 100 anime series so far.
However, the studio went bankrupt and was dissolved on August 4, 2020. So, we know for sure that Studio Arms will not be there in the scenes anymore.
This is another reason why Aesthetica of a Rouge Hero season 2 might never happen. If the producers decide to give it a second chance, then some other studio will take care of the adaptation.
