As of September 2023, Square Enix, Studio Silver Link, or any related company hasn’t officially announced Jahy sama Season 2. The first season ended in December 2021. It’s already been 2 years since the show ended. However, Studio Silver Link often releases sequels for their anime, increasing the chances of a return.

Regarding a release date, it’s uncertain since there’s no official renewal yet. There is not enough manga chapters, so we might not expect Season 2 until at least 2025. We will keep this page updated whenever new official announcements are out.

Is There Enough Source Material For A Sequel?

The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated is an anime based on a manga of the same name. The author, Wakame Konbu, has been writing it since August 22, 2017.

The ongoing manga has 10 volumes (84 chapters) so far, with the latest one released in September 21, 2023.

Season 1 of the anime adapted until chapter 68 of the manga. This leaves us with less than 20 chapters available for future season. So, unfortunately, there is not enough source material for Jahy sama season 2.

Unless we another 50 chapters or so, it is not possible to get a new sequel.

Jahy is the former assistant to the Demon King. She is beloved in the Demon Realm until it fell to a magical girl’s attack. Now, stripped of most of her powers and sporting a childlike appearance, Jahy navigates the human world.

Which Studio Will Animate The Second Season?

The studio behind “The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated” season 1 was none other than the popular Silver Link Studios. For those who don’t know, they are a reknown animation company based in Japan.

They have created over 100 anime series, movies and ONAs so far. Some of their popular work includes Non Non Biyori, Chivalry of a Failed Knight, and Masamune-kun no revenge.

Since they did such an excellent job with the first season, it makes sense that they continue adapting season 2 of the series. However, it has not been officially announced. It is just a speculation at this point.
