The Nichirin Swords of the Demon Slayer are truly amazing weapons. Although they’re not as epic as the Zanpakuto from Bleach, they are still epic enough to merit an individual article, and that is exactly what we are going to do with this article. In our little text, we are going to rank the 10 most awesome Nichirin Swords in the Demon Slayer franchise, ranked based on their overall epicness and awesomeness. There are, of course, more Nichirin Swords than we are going to present in this article, but this is truly a section of the best ones out there, all for your enjoyment. We can now start with our list.
You can check the wide range of collectable demon slayer swords on truekatana.com.
10. Zenitsu Agatsuma’s Nichirin Blade
Zenitsu’s Nichirin Sword might not be one of the more beautiful ones, but it’s definitely stylish. It looks like a normal katana, but it has a very cool thunder design on the sides. It is also quite powerful, as it augments Zenitsu’s natural abilities and his Thunder Breathing Technique. In that aspect, we decided to start our list with Zenitsu’s Nichirin Sword. The handguard is a circular shaped one with four slight indentations; the center has a silver tone with small triangles and has a golden border.
9. Kyojuro Rengoku’s Nichirin Blade
The Flame Hashira was one of the best characters in the series, and his premature demise in the Mugen Train Arc was one of the sadder moments in the larger Demon Slayer narrative. Apart from being a fan favorite, Kyojuro was also one of the strongest characters in the whole franchise. His Nichirin Blade was also a traditional katana with quite an awesome red color that made it not only cool, but also very beautiful. The handguard was shaped like a flame, with a red core and an orange border.

8. Giyu Tomioka’s Nichirin Blade
Tomioka is one of the characters that survived until the end of the storyline. The Water Hashira was an extremely powerful and likable character, and someone who, despite his seemingly cold nature, became a favorite among the fans, especially for the way he fought for Tanjiro and Nezuko. His Nichirin Blade was also a completely regular katana with a deep blue coloring, but it perfectly augmented and complimented his abilities as the Water Hashira, which is why it ended up on our list. This is actually valid for both of his blades. The first’s handguard was hexagonal in shape with a bronze core and an overlapping Fuschia border, while the second had a handguard that resembled a whirlpool.
7. Inosuke Hashibara’s Dual Blades
Inosuke is definitely a very cool character, and in his uniqueness, he has managed to become one of the most beloved characters in the whole series. Because of his unique way of speaking, combined with his boar mask, he stood out among the rest of the cast. The Beast Breathing user developed into an amazing character who surpassed himself and became a true hero. He is one of the rare dual blade Demon Slayer sword wielders in the series, and his two katana are uniquely shaped, which is why we decided to put them here, on our list.
6. Tanjiro Kamado’s Nichirin Blade
In this instance, we are talking about Tanjiro’s second Nichirin Blade, not the first one he used. This is the Black Nichirin Blade, the one that’s supposed to bring bad luck to its wielders, but Tanjiro managed to grow into the hero of the story using this exact blade. The Black Nichirin Blade used by Tanjiro was powerful, it fitted his unique personality and position in the series, and it was truly beautiful in color, which is why we have put it on this list.

5. Muichiro Tokito’s Nichirin Blade
Muichiro Tokito was known for always being in the clouds, which is what he is known for even today. Despite that, though, he was a very powerful swordsman and his Nichirin Blade was the polar opposite of Tanjiro’s in terms of color, as it was completely white. This made it exceptionally beautiful and earned it a place in the upper half of our list. Just like Muichiro, his Nichirin Blade was unique in many ways, and we absolutely had to honor it in this article in one way or the other.
4. Tengen Uzui’s Nichirin Cleavers
Although they’re technically not swords but cleavers, we decided to put Tengen Uzui’s weapons on this list nevertheless (for that same reason Gyomei’s weapons – which are not even blade-like – are not on this list, despite being awesome). They are very cool looking, and seeing Tengen wield them in battle was simply beautiful. They’re very stylish, which makes sense knowing how much value Tengen puts into style and flashiness. The Nichirin Cleavers are a truly unique weapon on this list, and we simply had to rank them this high.
3. Mitsuri Kanroji’s Nichirin Blade
We all know and love Mitsuri Kanroji, which is quite befitting of her role as Love Hashira. Her Nichirin Blade is very special, and not just because of its pink coloring. Namely, Mitsuri’s Nichirin Blade is actually a very long, whip-like blade, which makes it completely unique in the world of Demon Slayer, and deserving of third place on our list.

2. Obanai Iguro’s Nichirin Blade
Like Mitsuri’s Nichirin Blade, Obanai’s is also quite unique in shape. It is lavender-colored and shaped like a serpent, which, of course, reflects his breathing style. The Serpent Hashira was an incredibly powerful character, and his Nichirin Blade reflected that in every way. It was one of the most effective ones in every aspect and our personal favorite, even though we had to put it in second place in our little list of blades.
1. Yoriichi Tsugikuni’s Nichirin Blade
The last Nichirin Blade on our list belongs to the one and only Yoriichi. Sure, it is a regular katana, we know, but the fact that it has historical significance and that it has a unique black-red color combination made us put it in the first place. Yoriichi is a vital character in the manga’s lore, and we decided to honor it like this.
