Cheating Craft Season 2 Release Date & Renewal Status
The action comedy anime Cheating Craft failed miserably at creating an entertaining story. The entire anime is focused on a class cheating on tests using absurd skills and techniques. It is basically that one episode on Naruto where the characters took the written test of the Chunin exam.
With an unoriginal story, the next best thing you’d hope for is at least fun and entertainment. However, the show falls short there as well. This is why it has a very poor rating of 5.39 out of 10 on MyAnimeList.
Obviously, shows with abnormally low ratings like this will never get a sequel. Most fans hated the first season, so there is no reason to release a second one.
Even if they did, they’d only be facing a huge loss, so the producers have decided not to greenlight season 2 of Cheating Craft. So, the sequel is most likely cancelled.

The anime is based on Gemini Xin Luo’s novel Zuobi Yishu. The novel ended with a total of seven volumes. Even though the English-translated novel is available, we don’t have much information about it on the internet. Probably because not many have actually read the series.
However, given that the novel has multiple volumes that were released even after the anime ended, I say there is a good amount of story left for adaptation.
Even if we consider that there is more source material content to adapt, the chances of that happening are almost none.
The story is boring and ridiculous at best, so not many anime watchers are actually looking for the series to return.
What Will Happen In Cheating Craft Season 2?
The first season of the anime ended the story completely without any loose ends. However, assuming that a second season is greenlit sometime in the future, what would be its plot?
I think it will be similar to season one’s story. The main theme will definitely be the MC using out-of-the-box and straight-up nonsensical methods to cheat in exams.
They’ll add in those totally unnecessary action scenes to spice things up, for sure. A new villain would be needed, and perhaps other new characters might also be introduced.

Studio Blade is the animation company that was responsible for the first season of Cheating Craft. If another season is greenlit, Blade will likely continue the adaptation.
This studio is really not that popular in the anime industry. They’ve only animated a total of 14 series so far, despite being established in the 1990’s.
Their most popular work is “The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody.”
Where Can I Watch Cheating Craft Season 2?
Currently, the first season of the show is only available on Crunchyroll. A couple of years ago, it was also available to stream on BiliBili, but it has been taken down now.
So, when season 2 of Cheating Craft releases, it will also be made available on Crunchyroll. BiliBili users might upload the episodes on the platform too, so keep an eye out for the sequel on the Chinese YouTube alternative.
Season 1 does not have any Blu-ray releases, so future sequels might not have one either.
