The anime, known as Kono Yūsha ga Ore Tsuē Kuse ni Shinchō Sugiru in Japanese, is based on a popular light novel by Light Tuchihi and Saori Toyota, first published in 2017.
Cautious Hero is an isekai-fantasy anime following Seiya Ryuuguuin, summoned by the goddess Ristarte to save the world of Gaeabrande. The first season had 12 episodes and premiered in October 2019.
