Otsutsuki Clan Origin
The Otsutsuki Clan from Boruto is one of the oldest clans in the history of Naruto franchise. It was told that they were originally living in outer space, travelling through dimensions.
Their ultimate purpose in life was to attain godhood by consuming energy from other planets. With the aim of cultivating the Divine Tree, they had arrived to Earth. The Divine Tree or God Tree is something that saps the life of a planet and produce a fruit. This fruit, when consumed, will make the Otsutsuki clan members evolve and extend their lifespan.
During their stay on Earth, they hugely changed the human population. The Hyuga , Uchiha, Uzumaki and Senju clans all originated from the Otsutsuki clan.

Toneri Otsutsuki
It is a known fact that the Otsutsuki clan members descended upon earth from the moon. They had two families, and Toneri belonged to that branch family of their clan. He is Hamura Otsutsuki’s descendant who still continues to live on the moon.
In terms of powers, Toneri is a mighty being as he could take on Naruto’s Nine-Tails Chakra Mode with ease. He has a calm and composed demeanor and wants to terminate the entirety of humanity for using chakra to attack people.
Urashiki Otsutsuki
Despite being a lower member of the main family of the Otsutsuki clan, Urashiki is no pushover when it comes to combat. After all, even the mighty Kaguya had to be wary of the lower members of her clan. If this doesn’t establish the raw force of Urashiki, then you may want to take a look at the fact that he battled against two Kage all by himself.
Toneri was no match for him, and his combat prowess could rival the likes of the legendary Jiraiya. He may have a laid back nature in the story, but don’t let that fool you into thinking that he is weak by any means.
Indra Otsutsuki
Indra Otsutsuki is the elder son of Hagoromo, which automatically makes him a contender for the strongest member of the Otsutsuki clan. Since he didn’t inherit the mantle from his father, it caused a rift with Asura Otsutsuki. The Uchiha clan is also believed to have started with him. Indra had always displayed a natural talent for chakra and became the first user of Ninjutsu.
The power of Hagoromo’s eyes was also passed down to Indra, who ultimately made the Uchiha clan famous all around the world. Apart from Ninjutsu, Indra was an excellent Taijutsu user and had great control over fire and lightning release.
Asura Otsutsuki
Asura was the other son of Hagoromo and the younger brother of Indra Otsutsuki. In his younger days, Asura didn’t show any signs of talent, only for everyone to find out that he was a late bloomer. After awakening his latent power, he was the ideal candidate in order to carry forward the teachings of his father.
He is also the creator of the Senju and Uzumaki clans, which explains the long standing rivalry between these two and the Uchiha clan. Asura’s Ninshu prowess was god-like and none could come close to him in that respect.
Kinshiki Otsutsuki
Kinshiki Ohtsutski was like a bulldozer who could destroy anything in his path with his brute force. The current generation of the five kage matched up against him and faced a difficult time containing just a single target. He partnered up with Momoshiki, who also happened to be his foster son.
Apart from his massive physical strength, Kinshiki’s signature move was to create weapons using chakra and wield them perfectly against his enemies. His Byakugan further helped him in this matter by granting him vision at all angles, leaving no blind spot for the opponent to attack.
Hamura Otsutsuki
Hamura Otsutsuki was one of the twin children of Kaguya who was responsible for the Hyuga clan of today. He and his brother were the very first characters who used the concept of chakra. Naturally, it meant that he had immense reserves of chakra, which were helpful in his fight against his mother, Kaguya.
The famous Byakugan power of the Hyuga clan owe its origin to Hamura Otsutsuki. Not only was he able to master full control over this technique, but he also took things to the next level by evolving Byakugan into Tenseigan.
Hagoromo Otsutsuki
Hagoromo Otsutsuki is a vital cog in the storyline of Naruto. Not only is he the child of Kaguya, but he also gave birth to Indra and Asura Otsutsuki. He is the father of the ninja world since his teachings of ninshu form the basis of everything we know about jutsus in the current shinobi world.
Hagoromo is also the original Sage of the Six Paths, which guarantees him a place on the list of the strongest Otsutsuki clan members. His immense chakra reserve meant that he could perform any technique in the blink of an eye without needing any complicated hand signs.
Momoshiki Otsutsuki
Momoshiki Otsutsuki has been a menace in the Boruto storyline after planning to resurrect himself in the body of Boruto. He appeared pretty early in the series and absolutely wrecked the likes of Naruto, Sasuke, and the rest of the kage.
He was also the reason for the destruction of an entire population in another world. That level of power is outright scary! Apart from a high level of Taijutsu and Ninjutsu, Momoshiki was even able to use the Byakugan and the Rinnegan without any difficulties.
Kaguya Otsutsuki
Kaguya Otsutsuki is the main villain of the entire Naruto series, and was the head of the branch family of their clan. She was the first character ever to use Chakra on earth after eating the God Tree’s divine fruit. She even combined her powers with the tree and transformed into the ferocious beast, Ten Tails.
There is not a single thing in the ninja world that Kaguya Otsutsuki can’t perform, apart from her already existing god-like powers. The Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack is one of the most powerful moves we have ever seen in the series and can rip through anything standing in its path.
Isshiki Otsutsuki
There is no doubt about the fact that Isshiki Otsutsuki is the most powerful member of the Otsutsuki Clan till now. Although Kaguya betrayed him early in the story, he did well to plan his resurrection and form the deadly organization of Kara.
We haven’t even seen the full extent of his power yet, but we already know that it can easily destroy the whole earth itself. Isshiki’s signature technique is his Doujutsu, which allows him to see the life force in any living being. He can also use it to manipulate the size of anything he sees, which makes it an incredibly difficult job to deal with him.
